Check out the new promo video for an upcoming single release by producer Monkey Marc, recorded in Kingston, Jamaica:
Monkey Marc has been described by Thump/VICE as "probably Australian electronic music’s best-kept secret”.
The video looks at the connection between early hip hop and Jamaican reggae dancehall.
It also showcases an upcoming single, No Surrender, coming out on Sydney vinyl label Digi Killaz on 17.3.17.
No Surrender is a ragga hip hop mash-up, with Kingston reggae artists Sizzla, Capleton and Fantan Mojah over Monkey Marc’s classic hip hop production (and additional production by Mista Savona, Havana Meets Kingston project). It was produced and mixed in Monkey Marc’s solar-powered studio in Coburg and recorded in Kingston, Jamaica.
The single is from a larger project called Soundclash Inna Kingston Town (LP release slated for late 2017).

We hope you enjoy it!
