Kakhand emerges out of the realms of Sydney’s inner west and brings a flavoursome album of soulful future sounds and fresh from the Subsonic Music Festival.

English born, New Zealand raised producer Christian Burns, since 2006 based in Sydney Australia.

Kakhand produced for The Versionaries, a Reggae, Dub, Soul project that released 2 albums, ‘We Come Again’ in 2008 & ‘Sounds Sane’ in 2010.

Fresh off the Lotek International Rudeboy tour as Dj & dub Engineer for several of the album tour dates as well as adding extra dubs on the Dub Version of the L.P, comes his own Debut album, fittingly called ‘Meet Kakhand’.

Kakhand aka Christian Burns has supported various big name artists in different guises such as Mad Professor, Easy Star All Stars and Fat Freddys Drop as well as playing festivals such as, Island Vibes, Global Carnival, Subsonic, Playground Weekender and Peats Ridge in 2010.

In November 2011, Christian released ‘Meet Kakhand’, a selection of new cuts and collaborations with artists including Lotek, The Extramentalist, Dj Kina, Georgie Fisher, Janny Casanova, Rayjah45 and Simon Kay.

To represent this live, Kakhand returns to his roots as a DJ, but with original riddims and live dubs or alternatively, meets and mashes it live with artists from the Album.
