Basmati is producer/presenter of weekly reggae dancehall music show The Yard Saturdays 2-4pm on Radio 4ZZZFM

Basmati is a major force in organising local reggae dancehall events in Brisbane as the man behind such events as Reggae Dancehall Vibes, Dub Day Afternoon, Bob Marley Birthday Bash and Boom Shot

With origins in her Sri Lankan family of Jazz and music aficionados, developing through DJing roots reggae and dancehall on community radio, and further extending into quality guest hostings and programme management, Bellyas embraced the whole Jamaican music spectrum, and in 2000 began to share her collection with the people

His set maintains a vintage appeal with a strictly vinyl format and is known for dropping gems that are hard to find. For over 5 years he has been a seller of reggae vinyl and since moving to Brisbane from Toronto, Canada has been supplying various selectors and record stores throughout Australia

Toronto is a diverse city with a significant Caribbean influence and this influence is best evidenced by the monumental Caribana festival that takes place in Toronto once yearly. While living in Toronto, Alimark played a role supporting the reggae scene. Throughout 2008-2011 he contributed as a radio programmer on York University's community radio station CHRY 105.5, where he filled in for radio shows fortnightly
