Basmati from Rhythm Collision has been prompting me to keep the posts happening on ozreggae.com.... so in the interest of my health (he threatened to take my thumbs!) i thought i'd give my band a plug!

introducing Dubdoubt!

We are a 6 piece comprising of drums, bass, guitar/vocals, trumpet, saxaphone & vocals/synth/percussion.... oh and a touch of madness.

Some of us are from Brisbane... and some are from Masterton, New Zealand... but we're based in Brisbane

We started out playing dub and reggae, but the more we wrote, the more funk, hiphop, rock, disco and pop slipped into the mix. We write song based music... rather than jazzed out jammy stuff.

The next shows in the near future are:

Saturday May 28 @ Coolum Sol Bar
Saturday June 4 @ Tongue & Groove Cafe, West End
Thursday June 9 @ the Zoo, Fortitude Valley in support of The Black Seeds (NZ)
Saturday May 18 @ Tongue & Groove Cafe, West End

We have just purchased a heap of microphones and will be beginning (re-starting!) work on our debut album in house... which is all good!

Just like to take this opportunity to give a big up... much love and respect... to all those into the reggae music in Australia - and a big shout out to the Brisbane Massive!!

- John
