JamRock! presents
TURBULENCE
live in concert for the first time in Australia!

Sheldon Campbell, AKA Turbulence, is a prime example of the miracles that can happen in Jamaica through musical aspirations. As a child living in the poverty-stricken area of St. Andrew (also dubbed "Hungry Town" by it's residents), Turbulence encountered plenty of mischief but his love for music kept him grounded.

After completing his secondary education he started work with Phillip "Fattis" Burrell of Exterminator records, a respected studio known for breaking artist such as Luciano, Cocoa Tea and Sizzla. It was there he recorded his first singles "On My Way to Zion" and "Think of Peace" and in 1999 became the opening act for star deejay Sizzla after wowing an audience in Trinidad at his first ever live performance. The thousands who were there to see a show headlined by Lauryn Hill were sidetracked by Turbulence's high energy stage show. He has since toured extensively with Sizzla to Europe, Japan, the U.S. and the West Indies.

Since his first self titled album in 2000, Turbulence has released an impressive amount of tunes for his fans, amongst them "Name And Number", "I MIss You So Much", "X-Girlfriend", "Ethiopia Awakes" and his anthem, "Notorious". The duet performance with Sasha on "Want a Natty" earned him a number one spot on Jamaica's charts in 2005.

Known for his explosive live performances, Turbulence is set to burn the fire at JamRock! Saturday December 11th - don't miss this massive roots reggae and dancehall show!

You're in for a treat! I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in Byron Bay on Saturday, and he's certainly a professional on the stage. His voice is in top form too... sang a few octives I didn't know he had...

Well I did check this and as my first 'Jamrock' experience I must say I was duly dissapointed. Turbulence was surely on point, and he did his best to make it a nice show, yet the sound was horrible all night. Where was the sound man who's supposed to set the levels right and make the system sound sweet? Turbulence didn't seem to have much success calling for him, and I think that's why him left the stage after playing for what seemed like barely an hour.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
