another one for the Melburnians, this Friday night... put on by local selector Red Belly, these nights are always good vibes, if not the biggest dances in town.

featuring selection from Ras Crucial, Jesse I, Maruza, and Red Belly himself. Mi Casa is located where the old Big Bamboo used to be, near the corner of Franklin and Queen Sts. $5 at the door, 10pm til 3am.

These dances are always a blast. Good venue, good owners, good selectors and good crowd. Everyone should come down and check it!

Nice up seems to have hit the niiice nerve for Venus in his Melburn meanderings review ...

I also had the pleasure to attend a monthly gig called ‘Nice Up the Dance’ which was held in a bar called Mi Casa. The DJs selections ranged from roots to ragga to new dancehall, and the vibe of the night was comfortably chilled, but not too chilled to stop the crowd from showing their appreciation on the (near full) dance-floor. Thanks to the players on the night for their nice selections.

yes Nightnurse! another wicked session... less people than usual, but the vibe was WICKED! the place locked in at 3am and the party kept going for everyone who wanted to stay... I left about 4.45am for breakfast at the market, but things were still swinging inside!

big up Red Belly for another good night, and all the Melbourne massive who came and supported this one...
