Only promo I have seen, gotta say looks a bit dodge! There's no supports on it at all.
Tickets say $40 and you gotta ring a mobile phone number to get a ticket.??? Wats up with that!!! Gonna be hard task to sell off the Rosey sellin tix from a mobile phone, i'd have thought.

Also kinda stupid...two internationals in one night in Perth....oh well.

Oh and Russ, the promoters called Dogg Pound Productions, and even though they claim playin with NWA it ain't Snoop!!

Saw this advertised in xpress it mentioned where the tickets are available, also am sure like any other show that has been put on at the rosemount that tickets are available on the door. Have seen a huge street team promoting this event and seemingly targeting a wider audience to include people that may not get to other reggae events held here. I saw five people at raggamuffin passing out fliers for this as well so leads me to believe that it's being promoted and remember aswon promote gigs from way back so am sure his experience will help to make this a succesful event for him.

Out of curiosity why it's not good to have two international reggae acts on the same night, when while thumbing through the local street press you can see loads of international acts on the same night most busy nights of the week irrespective of the genre they are representing. It seem's to me that this attitude of you can only have one reggae event happening at a time is actually detrimental to the growth of a scene here as it limits choice for the punters who may want to experience a night of reggae. No where else that I have lived has there been only one reggae night happening at a time. I mean L.A,N.Y, Miami, J.A, London all will have more than one event on a given night this provides choice and diversity in the scene. It's whats needed here along with real unity not just talk. anyway just a thought.

interesting point isreal aka joe black
but the facts are we dont live in LA Miami Uk or Jamacia
the reggae scene is alot different here to the places you mentioned
Reggae has really only taken off in the past few years with
more international acts coming so ask any promotor why split the crowd
Oh and out of curiosity what reggae events international local or other
have you put on here ?

I really think it is kinda shit havin two shows on the same night in Perth. It is ludicrous and delusional to compare the scene in Perth to that of the states, Japan, europe or back in yard. Its just nothing like that. As for comparing the reggae music scene to other music scenes in Perth especially those that regularly host internationals is equally as uninformed and quite stupid.

THERE SHOULD NOT BE TWO REGGAE INTERNATIONALS ON THE SAME NIGHT!! It's dumb it sucks and it isn't productive.

agreed. I've never even been to Perth (soon come!) but last time I checked, Perth was still in Australia, and no city in this country has a big enough reggae scene to really justify two internationals on the same night!

that said, I hope both gigs are rammed and you prove us wrong Isreal!
