New York’s ground breaking reggae/dub collective, Easy Star All-Stars are hitting Australian shores for the very first time in April 2009 as part of their Lonely Hearts World Tour.

Easy Star All-Stars are the artists responsible for the critically acclaimed, genre-defying remakes of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of the Moon – (Dub Side Of The Moon) and Radiohead’s OK Computer (Radiodread).

Undoubtedly one of the most successful reggae albums of all time, Dub Side Of The Moon has spent over 5 years (yes, 5 years!) on the Billboard Reggae Chart, whilst Radiodread has spent the past 18 months firmly placed on the Billboard Reggae Chart and is showing no sign of slowing down.

Combined, both albums have sold an incredible 200,000+ copies worldwide.

Guaranteed to take Australia by storm, Easy Star All-Stars will be criss-crossing the nation, playing their own headline shows as well as dropping in to play the prestigious East and West Coast Blues and Roots Festivals.

Easy Star All-Stars will be kicking off their tour on Saturday 11 April at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne, Wednesday 15th April at The Zoo in Brisbane and on Thursday 16 April at Manning Bar in Sydney.

2009 is already destined to be a huge year for the Easy Star All-Stars. As well as a gruelling intercontinental touring schedule, 2009 sees the highly anticipated release of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Dub Band – Easy Star All-Stars’ very own dub interpretation of The Beatle’s classic album, Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Easy Star All-Stars have toured extensively, taking their dub infused reggae to all corners of the globe including the U.K., Canada, France, Italy, Chile, Poland, Turkey, Mexico, Argentina, Israel, Croatia, Ireland, Egypt, Brazil and beyond.

Now it’s Australia’s turn.
