"darky roots are finally set to launch our long awaited debut full length album, recorded at the Tanuki lounge West End by local producer Paulie B,

darky roots debut album "Reflections" is a 10 track offering with a vintage roots reggae sound and diverse range of reggae from Dub to lovers rock and dancehall, the album is made up of conscious roots reggae songs, to political songs and a healthy offering of love songs, " emergency features Lead vocals from the bands newest member Amika terry, and the entire album is peppered with the new Lead guitarist's Jai Mitchells signature dub stylings, the album also features the rich brass sound from horn ensamble "the summer breeze" aka Tom Stewart and Steven Buchanan held together by the very disciplined Hugh Jones on drum kit,

darky roots are: Joshua Hillman/ lead vocals, Mataio Uri/ keyboards, Jake Qereqeretabua/ Keyboards and Vocals, Paul Hillman/ Bass, Hugh Jones/ Drums Amika Terry/ Vocals, Jai Mitchell/ Lead Guitar, Tom Stewart/ Saxaphone, Steven Buchanan/ Trumpet

the line up for the launch party consisting of: darky roots, the upsteppers, tanuki dub and Tau manukia is made up of acts that rarely come out to play live, this makes for a truely one off line up, which will give the night as a whole a unique dynamic,

also, former members Bevan Savage and Clem Karauti will return for one special eveing to play the songs they have written on the Reflections album, as well as songs they have written and recorded on past releases,
