WICKED!!!

Okay, so there were a few "let me hear you say Irie!" moments, but the crowd loved it all. Lucky Dube was his standard self - he's very good at what he does, and a huge portion of the crowd was there for that - but Third World ruled the show. Bunny Rugs has one of the best voices in reggae, and he proved it. The band was amazingly tight as expected, and the show was a big winner for me overall, despite the odd r&b/disco crossover hit.

Getting bigged up by name during Reggae Ambassadors was one thing, but having Bunny do dubplate style lyrics bigging up Chant Down Sound during Roots With Quality was almost too much... and then he got Damajah on the mic during the encore, and Damajah killed it! Unbelieveable....

as someone who was turned on to reggae via Third World, I couldn't have been happier last night...
