I think there'll be some other dancehall at Publicity, but it sounds like most of the other acts will be hiphop or drum n bass. There's two rooms though, and it sounds like a good party... a lot of live MCs, live percussion, etc... we'll see anyway...

well... the show outdid all expectations. blissfull reggae/rock steady flavoured jazz... reminscent of ranglin's and alexander's colaborations of the 70's such as the LP "Rass"

Was there a big turn-out? I didnt see much publicty for it (then again, I havent been looking).

only 1/2 full, so they closed off 1/2 the floor area to create a more intimate feel... still enough people for a good vibe in the room.

yeah, was pure sweetness... it was an early one as they had a different act on later, and I didn't make it til just before 9pm so I missed the opening. what I did see was first class though... beautiful jazz versions of classic reggae riddims like King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown, Heathen, Marcus Garvey, 54-46, etc. I was really glad I went, it was a NICE show... :D
