How come NO Jamaican acts ??

For a Jamaican performer to come here, I guess Reggaetown needs the cooperation and support from all promoters in every state. A bag of artists will always be ready and willing to come.

Ah dam .. sorry DC was supposed to hit REPLY but accidently deleted your post.

Yes we here in Cairns, good crew of people, great to see old faces again !
Mickie and the family working tirelessly to get everything organised doing a fantastic job.

We'll be on stage 3, good vibes, and going up to Mossman Gorge, Daintrees and hopefully check the reef straight after ... beautiful location !

Yeah,It would have been nice to see the local band Zennith play a bit later on in the evening with the big names, as it won't be long before they become the next big thing. I reckon players like John Butler,Blue King Brown, and Katchafire should stand on their own, with a support band or two, rather than play festivals which usually rely on funding etc to pull them off. Just maybe ,that funding should go to promote emerging and hardworking local reggae and world music bands trying to make a go of it.After all ,these bands promote the music locally all year round and maybe could be rewarded with a good spot at local festivals. Wot u reckon.I agree though,it's a lot of hard and stressing work by the organizers so i can't really complain, but be thankful we have a Reggaetown Festival in the first place, though sometimes all the festival hype can distract from the real essence of the music.Praise Jah.

Nea Combo Diffuzion

For me, is was all about these cats from New Caledonia.
These guys are PROPER!

Hopefully, they'll be headlining in their own right soon.

Festival was a huge success! There must have been between 5,000-6,000 people at least.

And the location! I never expected to be wedged between palm filled mountains and beautiful blue skies. Really amazing.

Congratulations Mickie and everyone involved. Seems like the festival is going from strength to strength!
