Brisbane community Radio station 4ZZZ 102.1FM and Coopers Pale Ale are proud to present 4ZZZFM's showcase music event fundraiser celebrating it’s tenth anniversary this year – the iconic reggae event Dub Day Afternoon

Since it’s humble and chaotic beginnings in 2002 Dub Day Afternoon has pioneered the growth and awareness of reggae music and reggae music culture in Brisbane for 10 years. It is now the largest number one 100% reggae music event of the year in Brisbane for local artists. As well as that it is also the largest and number one music event fundraiser for Radio 4ZZZFM annually too

Brisbane’s BIGGEST reggae dancehall dub event of the year – 12 hours or reggae dancehall dub !!!

Paua's origins lie in Aotearoa/New Zealand and the nation islands of Fiji. For Paua the music is natural and their melodies and harmonies float on deep grooves and rhythms that are staples for the soul evoking emotion in the heart with observations and stories of their life experiences

Champion Sound take reggae soundsystem culture to all regions of Queensland with selection from Chris Jay and John Lumley. Originally outta the UK, the crew also mentor and engage with communities statewide having a particular focus on youth development

One Dread are a nine piece multi vocalist reggae band representing for the bayside area of Brisbane. A mix of Aussies and Kiwis hailing from all number of vastly different musical backgrounds they produce a synergy that concocts timeless melodies. Together their dream and goal is to share their love and sound of reggae whilst sustaining humility and being truthful

Brisbane foundation reggae sound crew, Rhythm Collision Sound have supported international reggae artists such as Anthony B, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Cecile, Luciano, Ritchie Spice, Bushman, Gyptian, Jah Mason and Tippa Irie. With up to the time selection from Basmati of 4ZZZFM’s reggae dancehall show The Yard alongside MC Ras George

Conscious Jury are an eight piece reggae band creating reggae music that seeks to make an impact on how people choose to live their lives. They aim to breakdown walls and bridge gaps of uncertainty in these times of great challenges and distress

Head of Ghetto Fire Crew, Zimbabwe's Ras George, as well as being a deejay/producer is also a renowned music, dance, theatre producer/choreographer and a massive identity within the African community in Brisbane he has been involved with the organisation of highly successful events such as the Zimbabwe Independence Day Soccer Tournament After Party, the Ragga Ragga series, African Communities Festival and Raggamuffin Dancehall Clash. Ras George is also the force behind Ghetto Fire Radio

Originally from Cape Town South Africa, Gregwise has added to his reggae collection throughout his world travels with reggae music produced in the foundation era by the Studio One label and steppas rhythms by UK labels such as Conscious Sounds and Scoops being favourites

Youngtree a seven piece band from the hills and valleys of Maleny weave strands of jazz, trip hop and dub into classic roots reggae to deliver strong conscious messages defined by passionate poetic lyrics that speak of unity and conflict, harmony and chaos, global struggles and personal experiences

Originally from Melbourne and now based in Brisbane, Bellyas, with origins stemming from her Sri Lankan family, Jazz other music aficionados has developed her ecstatic mixes of conscious reggae, roots and culture and dancehall deejaying style through guest hosting and programme hostings on community radio and numerous guest club sets. She has also has been a crucial part of the all female soundsystem crew Housewife’s Choice since 2004. Vinyl is her choice of delivery

One Dragon Two Dragon draw inspiration from across the musical spectrum. Abandoning the use of vocals they conjure imagery via music and embrace both experimental and conventional sounds to speak to the listener. They craft a light n dark range of moods that shift from dense sci-fi-inflected rhythms to minimalist roots ambience and beyond – an exploration of instrumental dub noir

DJ Bones straight outta Negril, Jamaica now resident in Brisbane. DJ Bones has been involved with reggae dancehall music since the age of 11. He’s been a part of Negril based soundsystem crews Hype Zone, Silverstar and Black Rhino as well as Bass Tonic in Montego Bay. He has also performed at Sound Fest and ATI’s Wet N Wild festivals and worked on TV Jamaica’s Entertainment Report’s coverage of the ATI’s Wet N Wild festivals

Bussatones are a new 4 piece dynamic reggae band on the rise in the Brisbane area with a Jamaican born female singer on lead vocals. Their unique sound fuses styles such as rockers, jazz and dub with authentic and soulful vocals

Señor Rudekat is a multi-talented deejay/musician/producer/promoter from the cultural hub of West End in Brisbane and involved with some of Brisbane’s most notorious bands and soundsystems as well as organiser of Kuranda Roots and Island Vibe festivals. Boss of Rudekat Records

Samedi Soundsystem crew with producer Vir Asan, MC Potato Master and selecta Baron One Way mash up the sounds of Jamaican reggae, dub and dancehall rhythms with damn near everything and work their way through the sounds of bass culture in a true dubwize sense

DJ Wade is originally from Seaview Gardens Kingston Jamaica, home of Elephant Man, Bounty Killer and Supercat. He is a DJ/producer with international reggae label Das Vibes (Jamaica/Germany/Australia) as well as involved with running www.dancehallreggae.com.au

Brimstone Rockers are inspired largely by the sounds of Jamaica old and new and they bring together both traditional organic reggae sounds with more experimental electronic, digital dub and ambient aesthetics to create conscious music productions to make you feel good within yourself. Fusing deep basslines, catchy melodies, dancehall and hip hop beats with reggae and dub mixing techniques their sound is both unique and refreshing

Toothy Swede straight outta Sundsvall, Sweden, drives a post van by day and researches all ting reggae by night. His selections run from the sweet sounds of rocksteady through roots reggae to early 80’s dancehall. Selection is strictly ina vinyl style and fashion

DollaMix made his mark in New Zealand with Mad Ants Crew before moving to Byron Bay and is now a key figure in the Blaze Fire Sound crew. Once specialising in up to di time riddims, DollaMix has broadened in recent years bringing a mix of new and old but always big tunes and developed a reputation for bringing the party vibes with his high energy and passion for the music he plays

Selecta Bing formely based in Japan specialises in early reggae, ska and rocksteady styles including rare Japanese ska

Magala originally from Uganda and with a range of styles ranging from 90s dancehall, through modern nu roots to up to the time bashment riddims and tunes Magala is an extremely popular and in demand deejay within the African community with his high energy sets
