I started this thread in response to the hijacked Soulmaker posts. Given that my name's been mentioned here's my two cents...

The only worries Atomic might have had that night, was Tek selectors actually pulling out some good tunes! Atomic dropped the bomb on Tek, despite the fact we were the only ones who experienced technical difficulties with an amp which was positioned at Nasty Tek's end.

I remember being invited to play at a friendly "sound meet" with Nasty Tek, which on the night wasn't very friendly. I remember Andrew's bandana & Mikey shouting alot. I remember how the crowd was at our end.

We continued to gig as Atomic for a couple of years after that night but never again shared the bill with Tek.

The Prince had a tape of the Atomic clash, perhaps you'd like to share that as well? Or maybe its best we forget...

cease and settle everybody a clash is just a clash. atomic would still be around if you drop a bomb on nasty tek way back in 95. but in 2006 atomic nowhere to be seen. for reggae to take off in sydney everyone need to support all nites regardless of who likes who. its all about the music anyway. big up to nasty tek for doing there thing and still going strong!

Willo Irie - I dont know you, so I mean no offence... but this thread does nothing but build bad vibes man. No positive solution can come out of it.

Anyways, I dont know the whole story, so I'll leave it there.

I wonder who has more credibility here on ozreggae.com? I can't comment on Atomic, I've never had anything to do with them, but in all my dealings (and soundclashes) with Nasty Tek, they've come straight every time. respect due.

Big up Jesse I....star if I had the tape I would be more than happy to put it up.....I just dont have that recording....now there has been talk that the Prince has the cassette but only he can verify if he has it or not....but I am sure he would put it up if him did have it. P.P.S.When Atomic stopped Robbo went on to co-run THE longest and hugely successful Sydney Sunday night "FRIGID". And has just dropped a c.d. with his production efforts called "Astronmy Class" that's on JJJ on high rotation! And Willo went on to raise and care for his youth!

In my experince fuck ups with audio equipment are rife - and are rarely deliberate... is it possible that if this "amp" was fucked that the real culprit was in fact....

As I said "Run Di Tape.............." And we can HEAR everything as it was. I'm sure Andrew have it! Because years ago he told me he had the oldie clash we held in the same venue. Mikey, yes we cool and I'm not trying to start nothing, but you know me I'm not go to sit down and say nothing when I remember certain things. And I do remember Nasty Tek had a lot of people round their side. So maybe it's something you never even realised, someone else near the amps touch it!
