Would this be deemed offensive to the ladies here on ozreggae....as it could be viewed as demeaning to women....genuine question!

Saw had the crowd under her spell in no time, showcasing her unique style: 'a blend of rude gyal, pump-your-fist-ladies anthems and raunchy, and risque rants about real and surreal sexcapades'. The AK massive were dancing, chanting and even joining her on stage (at one point she picked out volunteers to get up front to do the 'backshot' whine before declaring she'd show us how it's done, enlisting one of the men on stage to be her dance partner)

Wow! Wow! Wow!

The crowd just loved it! One of the best performances I have ever seen. She came on at full tilt and had the audience in her hand in moments. Witty, wild and intimate. Entertainment writ LARGE.

Was nice to have Gina Mitchell on the mic with Firehouse too, but the few pics I took aren't much good.

As I was leaving Gaz was playing a killer Prince Buster produced single. I was torn and considered missing the last train home.

Yes, nice summer evening of outdoor vibes - the way it should be in Sydney. Lady Saw fired up the crowd which was mostly a festival audience but with plenty of long time reggae/dancehall faces in the place. Saw served the locals a good healthy dose of slackness and guess what? - the people loved it. Laughed out loud to the lyrical liberation! G'waan Mumma! Then encouraging to see a local band working hard with the warm soul voice of the consummate pro - Bunny Rugs, even if the PA could have been tuned sweeter (enough noisy tops already)
I caught bits of the great Gaz Mayall's selection but really enjoyed Firehouse's specials and flow too, especially when Gina & Vina rocked the mic. Some good music and the Sydney reggae scene growing stronger and warmer - that's the way I saw it anyway. Big up Andrew, Nick, Louis, Keith &... Fadda G. Long time I nuh see yu!

Renegade sound is playing at Lady Saw on sunday at the espy, and mi MC was caught at border control for a lick a weed ina his top pocket and sent back to New Zealand. Hate. Not good for the renegade but this opens the door for a Melburn Sister MC to join me in the warm up sets on sunday. So holla any dancehall queens who would like the opp to mash up the yard b4 Bunny and Miss Raw.
